Common Admission Test or CAT 2017 results are at last declared. Even as pupils around the nation enjoy or weight their choices, lakhs have queued up once again in trusts of doing it with CAT 2018. CAT 2017 was taken by 1.99 lakh applicants and this year, twenty students have passed over to the 100 percentile mark. What is minus or plus this year is that the positions of 100 percentiles comprise three non-engineers and 2 women – both of them a first in the history of CAT 2017. Commencing with the female candidates, find Delhi girl Chhavi Gupta who has marked a right 100 percentile. Chhavi is an indian institute of technology Delhi graduate in Biotechnology and wanted to join IIM Ahmedabad. Saying with PTI she adds, "I'm netting my hopes on IIM-Ahmedabad and I'm heartfully seeing forward to the interviews." She is presently working in Noida-based Opera Solutions. Speaking over the area of speciality, she quotes, "All IIMs have general curriculum for the 1st year and in the 2nd year one has to opt the specialisation. I haven't had idea of it yet and will have my option then only."
Few other toppers like IIT Madras boy Sai Praneet Reddy, Patna's Sidharth Kumar, Kolkata's Vishal Vohra, Meet Aggarwal from Surat and institute master Patrick DSouza from Mumbai city who has secured the correct mark for the 4th time. CAT was held in 2 shifts on November 26, 2017. Nearly 199,632 applicants taken the examination which was organized in test centers sprawled across 140 state cities.
Up on release of the result, different IIMs will schedule their admission terms mainly depending on the CAT score, writing ability, group discussion & personal interviews. India has about twenty IIMs giving admission close to 4,000 students into their flagship 2-year management courses. CAT 2017 had the bigger number of applicants in the last 3 years. Alike last year, twenty students have secured 100% in CAT this academic year, however, the biography of these candidates were various this year while compared to CAT 2016. There is a change in trend, 2 women and 3 engineers graduates were among the top scorers this AY 2017-2018.
